A young woman was arrested on charges of possession of drugs after allegedly being found with cocaine-filled breast implants, police in Colombia said.
Bogota police said that they have arrested 22-year-old Paola Deyanira Sabillon, after being found with 3 pounds of liquid cocaine inside her breast implants.
Sabillon was arrested at the airport as she was boarding a plane to Spain.
According to the police investigation, Sabillon’s nervousness aroused suspicion as she was waiting in the security line.
She was taken to a room, where X-rays revealed a recent surgery on her breasts. Sabillon admitted that an unknown substance had been placed inside her breasts, and she was sent to Barcelona.
The surgery was carried out at a clinic in Pereira. The implants were removed at a hospital, where Sabillon is being treated for an infection.
Sabillon was charged with possession of drugs. The cocaine was estimated to be worth $120,000.
