Luas tram and tourist bus collide at Smithfield

EIGHT PEOPLE HAVE been taken to hospital after a Luas tram and a tourist bus collided at Smithfield, close to Dublin city centre, this morning.

It happened at around 11am. Part of the Red Line service – which runs from The Point to the south-west suburbs – was shut down in the immediate aftermath of the collision.
The line has since fully reopened.

A married father who vanished from his home 23 years ago has been found living with a new family under the stolen identity of a dead fisherman.
Richard Hoagland never returned home to his wife and two sons after calling home and telling them he needed to be taken to hospital in 1993.
