Black Woman Climbs Flagpole, Snatches Confederate Flag Down
Just after dawn this morning, activist and North Carolina educator Bree Newsome climbed a 30-foot flag pole and snatched the Confederate flag down from the South Carolina Statehouse grounds.
As officers repeatedly asked, “Ma’am, please come down off the pole,” Newsome quoted scripture on her descent, including verses from Psalms: “The Lord is my light, and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?”

ISIS Claims Responsibility For Tunisia Beach Attack That Left 38 DEAD
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack on a seaside resort hotel in Tunisia on Friday that killed at least 38 people and wounded at least 36 others, many of them Western tourists.
The Islamist group named the attacker as Abu Yahya al-Qirawani and said he managed to infiltrate the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba in the coastal city of Sousse.

A middle-aged woman, Sophia Arapogun, has prayed an Agege customary court to dissolve her 11-year-old marriage because her husband, Patrick, abandoned her for two years.
Mrs Arapogun, who lives with her husband and his six children from his previous marriage, said he never asked her how she fed.
“My husband buys foodstuffs for his children and asks them to keep them in their room. He never asked what I needed at a particular moment and we lived together,” she said.
Dublin prepares for today's Pride Parade
The Dublin LGBTQ Pride Parade will get underway in the city this afternoon.
The event is the centre-piece of the 10-day Pride festival and will see crowds of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender people and their allies march through the streets of the city.
The parade begins at the Garden of Remembrance at 1.30pm.
