The Atlanta man who was shot when his home was invaded just as he and his wife had returned from a vacation said he remembers praying out loud, telling God he expected to meet him that day.
Mike Lash said he prayed.
“Lord, this is, I guess, the moment I will meet you today … if it is not your will, I am ready to stay,” he said.
Lash and his wife, Whitney, and their two children had just come home from vacation on August 16 when there was a knock at their door.

A group of Black women say they were “humiliated” after being kicked off the Napa Valley Wine Train tour in California because a White woman complained about them laughing loudly.
The 11 women, all members of the Sistahs on the Reading Edge book club, were met by police as they were escorted from the locomotive, according to a Facebook status posted by one of the group’s members, Lisa Renee Johnson. The woman who complained reportedly said “this is not a bar,” when expressing her annoyance.

Ciara O’Brien (18) was airlifted from Cork University Hospital for surgery at the spinal injury unit in the Mater Hospital in Dublin after the accident in Kinsale, Co Cork, in the early hours of Saturday.
Her uncle, John O’Mahony, has revealed that she has no feeling in her legs.
“The feeling might not come back at all,” he said.
“Her spinal cord wasn’t severed but it has been damaged.
