'Extremely embarrassed' St Patrick's Athletic player admits €4,500 dole fraud



A League of Ireland football star has pleaded guilty to fraudulently claiming more than €4,500 in dole payments.
Ian Bermingham, who plays for reigning FAI cup winners St Patrick's Athletic, appeared at Dublin District Court today.
The 26-year-old was charged with benefit fraud in a prosecution brought by the Department of Social Protection.

A family has been driven out of their home by thugs who sprayed sickening racist graffiti over their Dublin house.

The cowardly perpetrators wrote ‘blacks out’ in huge letters across the front of the family’s home in Clondalkin.
A mother and her two children were inside the house during the late night attack and have now moved out.
