Sometimes you find yourself working with someone with whom you just don’t get along. Maybe their personality is grating, or their political views are different from yours. Maybe they are a font of useless knowledge. Whatever the reason, you constantly conflict. Still, you need to figure out how to work together.

Boy, 8, seriously hurt in collision between scooter and car



Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a boy was seriously injured after a car collided with the child’s scooter in Limerick City yesterday evening.
The eight-year-old boy was travelling on a child’s scooter when the collision occurred.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he is being treated for serious injuries, according to gardaí.

THE MOTHER-OF-seven who spent the night in a garda station with her children last week has said the council has offered her a three-bed apartment on a trial basis.
Margaret Cash (28) and six of her children, aged from one to 11, spent the night in Tallaght Garda Station in Dublin on Wednesday of last week after failing to secure suitable emergency accommodation.

Man (22) arrested after two guns and crack cocaine seized in Ballyfermot

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in his 20s after guns and a quantity of drugs were seized during two searches in west Dublin.
The Ballyfermot Detective Unit, assisted by the Armed Support Unit, conducted the searches in the area this morning.
During the searches, two guns were recovered.

AN INDEPENDENT REGULATOR for the gambling industry is to be established under a proposed new law.
Minister of State for Equality, Immigration and Integration, David Stanton briefed Cabinet today and requested approval to draft a new general scheme of the Gambling Control Bill.
A proposed set of laws to deal with the issue of gambling have been gathering dust on the shelf in the Department of Justice since 2013.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a popular Abuja socialite who is also a top official of the Nigerian Prisons Service, Dr (Mrs) Imaobong Akon Esu-Nte. The suspect, a Grade Level 14 Officer with the Federal Ministry of Finance seconded to the Nigerian Prison Service as Head, Capital Accounts, was picked up Tuesday May 6 by operatives of the anti graft agency. And for several hours, she was grilled by investigators over allegations bordering on corruption, abuse of office and money laundering.
