UNN student who trekked in honour of Enugu governor turned back at Enugu govt house


A final year student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka who trekked from Nsukka town to the Enugu state government house to felicitate with the newly sworn in governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, as the first Nsukka man to be elected governor of the state, was sadly turned back from the gate of the government house by security men.

Death Toll from Yola bomb blast now 31, blood donation needed




The death toll from the bomb blast that occurred at Jimeta main market in Yola Adamawa state yesterday night has risen to 31. Mohammed Dodo, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Medical Center where most of the victims were taken to, said 22 persons are now in critical condition. The hospital management are calling for blood donations from members of the public.

Men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, have arrested 46 year old businessman Tochukwu Prosper Nzom who inserted 225gm of cocaine into his anus while preparing to board an Air France flight to Paris from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport yesterday June 4th.

Europe's largest wooden rollercoaster with an inversion has opened today at Tayto Park in Co Meath.
The CĂș Chulainn coaster travels up to 100 kilometres an hour - and is made from 800,000 kg of yellow pine wood, more than 100 tonnes of steel, and 700,000 nails and bolts.

Actor sells his 2 year old son for 450k


Kanayo Awurum, 29, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly selling his son for N450,000 in the Egbe, Ikotun area of the state.
 
He allegedly sold the two-year-old boy, identified as Samuel, to a middle-aged women.
Kanayo, who worked as a painter, reportedly lied to his wife, Kelechi, that one of the women was his relative in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the boy was going to live with her.

China-based hackers are suspected of breaking into the computer networks of the U.S. government personnel office and stealing identifying information of at least 4 million federal workers, American officials said Thursday.

The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that data from the Office of Personnel Management and the Interior Department had been compromised.
