First Berkley victims laid to rest today



The first funerals for the victims of the Berkeley tragedy take place today.
Five Irish students and one Irish-American died when the balcony collapsed at the California apartment block during a 21st birthday party last Tuesday.
Eimear Walsh and Eoghan Culligan will be the first of the five Irish students to be laid to rest today in South Dublin.

The bodies of the students were flown back to Ireland over the last few days.
Funeral mass for 21-year-old Eimear will take place in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Foxrock at 11am this morning.

She will be buried afterwards at Shanganagh Cemetery.
Removal for Eoghan will take place from his home to the Church of the Annunciation in Rathfarnham, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am.
Eoghan's burial will take place at Mount Jerome Cemetery in Harold’s Cross.
Olivia Burke and Niccolai Schuster will be laid to rest tomorrow, while the funeral of Lorcán Miller will take place on Thursday.
