Police Declare Man Trekking For Buhari Missing


A middle-aged man who left on foot to Abuja from Bauchi, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of President Muhammadu Buhari has been declared missing by the police.
According to a statement by Bauchi Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Haruna Mohammed; the missing person Nurudeen Maimako, a resident of Dass town in Bauchi state, who left his town on May 15 to Abuja has not been seen or heard from since.

The coroner’s office in New Orleans has identified the body of a 16-year-old girl who was found dead along Interstate 10 last week. Kaylan Ward, 16, was hit and killed by a car while walking or attempting to cross the interstate in the dark. Her body was found in the right shoulder emergency lane of the highway. The preliminary cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari allegedly barred Vice President Yemi Osinbajo from attending a national security meeting this week. Osinbajo was apparently refused “security clearance” and “locked out” of Buhari's first briefing with the national security adviser on the president's orders, Nigerian online newspaper the Trent reported.

Firefighter responds to car crash, finds wife and son are the victims


A firefighter responded to head-on collision and found his wife and young son among the victims.
“It’s my family. My wife was laying there on the ground,” firefighter Aaron Van Riper said. “I don’t know how either one of them lived. There was nothing left of that car.”
Both his wife, Amber, and son, Jonathan, 7, were airlifted to the hospital. Both suffered multiple fractures.
