French President invites Buhari to Paris for bilateral talks
A statement by the French Embassy in Abuja said President Hollande had put a call to Gen. Buhari yesterday April 2nd, congratulating him on his success at the polls and reiterated France's support to Nigeria in the fight against Boko Haram. The statement reads in part;
“The French head of state assured the President-elect of France’s wish to continue the close relationship that existed with his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan and reiterated France’s support for Nigeria and its neighbors in their efforts to combat the terrorist sect Boko Haram."
'I’ll speak at the appropriate time' - President Jonathan
President Jonathan says he will speak on issues bothering on his administration and the last election at the appropriate time. President Jonathan said this while speaking to State House correspondents after Good Friday Service organised by the Aso Villa Chapel today April 3rd
“Don’t worry, I will talk to you at the appropriate time,” President Jonathan said with a smile on his face

Al-jazeera Journalists sue Nigerian military for illegal detention
Al-jazeera journalists, Ahmed Idris - a reporter and Ali Mustapha - a camera man, both pictured above, have instituted a lawsuit against the Chief of Army staff, Gen Kenneth Minimah and the Nigerian military for what they term the infringement of their fundamental human rights following their illegal detention by the Nigerian military. They filed the suit in an Abuja high court this morning
