Assia Newton, 44, (pictured centre, surrounded by her daughters) told her 'violent' husband Kelvin she wanted a divorce after falling in love with a waiter named Mohammed while on holiday in Tunisia.
Cardiff Crown Court heard Mrs Newton, from Pencoed in South Wales, was due to fly out to meet her new love when the builder, 45, strangled her in her bedroom with a dog lead on July 14 last year.
