On February 7, Floreen Hale, 82, passed away in a Batavia, New York, hospital, with her gravely ill husband, Ed, lying next to her (pictured) and supporting her - just like he promised her parents 60 years ago when Hale went to Floreen's parents to ask her hand in marriage (bottom left).
