James Triplett, 33, was controlling the drug market in West Chicago, according to Feds, who busted him for selling heroin outside of a house that had customers lined up around the corner.
Investigators supplied a photo of the long lines around the building in a federal criminal complaint that featured more than 200 pages.
The Eisenhower Expressway, just north of the building, had become known as the "Heroin Highway" due to the heavy drug activity. 32 people were arrested on Wednesday (June 24) morning in connection with the drug ring ran by Triplett. Authorities ended up confiscating 12 guns, $50,000 in cash, nearly half a kilogram of heroin, and more than half a kilogram of cocaine.
