Mother, 26, gave friend’s 12-year-old daughter a bottle of VODKA to drink


The unnamed girl was given the strong spirit by Hazel Aitchison (pictured) - a friend of the mother - who told police 'I only did it once' and had given permission

Hazel Aitchison, 26, of Falkirk, bought the spirit and gave it to the unnamed girl during a sleepover at her house in July 2013.
She told police and Falkirk Sheriff Court the girl's mum had given permission for her to drink. The actions were condemned by Scottish health officials, who warned alcohol at such a young age would put the children at risk of serious harm later in life
