Cyndi Maisonneuve, 30, from Toronto, pictured left, was jilted by the 'love of her life' an hour before her wedding as she stood in her gown and veil.
She overcame the heartbreak by going travelling, top left, and hanging out with friends, bottom right. Six years on, she says the incident has helped shape her as a woman (pictured top right on holiday and bottom right centre with two friends).
