Former Miss Nevada, Who Was Stripped of her Crown is Arrested for Meth Trafficking

12

Katherine Nicole Rees had a better-than-average-shot at some semblance of fame and notoriety ahead of her. Unfortunately for the attractive 30-year-old, her 2006 Miss Nevada title was stripped from her when she was seen in photos from a Tampa, Florida party posted online showing her kissing women, exposing a breast, and showing off her thong.

This week, a criminal complaint was filed on her for a host of meth-related drug charges.  she’d sold meth to a man that police identified as J. Peacock. Just a month later, she was found with almost five and a half grams of the same drug. She’s now been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance, and two counts of conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substances act.
She’d had other brushes with the law over the years as well. In 2008 she was collared for myriad traffic violations. She narrowly avoided a charge of resisting arrest during one of them, so got off with only fines. But they included speeding, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, and driving with an expired registration. She pleaded no contest and had her license and registration both suspended. If that weren’t bad enough, she apparently didn’t know they’d been suspended when, according to her attorney, she thought going to get ice cream during the predawn hours sounded like the thing to do at the time. In 2012, she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug charge.
