"Fractured so often, but never broken," said a devastated Sir Bob Geldof in a heart-wrenching statement this evening.
Quite how he has held his family together through a series of tragedies is quite a remarkable achievement. But this one, I fear, he will never get over,” writes Katie Hind.
“I'm in shock. To us on the outside world, Peaches appeared to have pulled herself together. She doted on her sons, Astala and Phaedra. She doted on her husband, Tom. She was ambitious and successful. Whatever she did, it had to be the best; whether it was partying,
writing or being a mummy.”
“Gone was the teenage girl I would regularly see, supposedly having the
time of her life on the London club scene.
Gone was the girl who was arrested for shoplifting. Peaches had

Having children, she said recently, had been a rebirth for her. This
is why her passing is so stunningly tragic.”
