Popular Yoruba Actor known for violent roles in movies, Ganiyu Oyeyemi, aka Ogunjimi has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping one of his daughter’s friends.
Ogunjimi was arrested last Tuesday by the Police and was detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after doctors confirmed that the victim was indeed raped.
The victim, a 22 year old lady (name withheld), claimed that Ogunjimi had carnal knowledge her in his home in Osogbo.
The actor was said to have been responsible for the upkeep of the victim and her mother who until recently lived with him in his Osogbo residence.
He however had carnal knowledge of her after the victim’s mother left her with Ogunjimi in Osogbo and relocated to Lagos.
Confirming his arrest, the Osun state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folashade Odoro said Ogunjimi’s case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Osogbo.
