Miami mansion where Gianni Versace was shot dead reopens as a luxury hotel

13 Sep 2013, Miami, Florida, USA --- The famously extravagant South Beach mansion once belonging to the late fashion designer, Gianni Versace, is going up for sale in an auction September 17. The property is set to be sold at a Sept. 17 auction, but the debtor, Casa Casuarina LLC, hopes to obtain a declaration that Barton G has no possessory rights to the property before that date. Reopening fully by the end of March, the 10-suite Villa by Barton G boasts 54-foot 'thousand mosaic' swimming pool lined in 24-carat gold, which was designed by Versace.
