Three Kidnapped Indians Rescued In Rivers State Nigeria


Nigeria’s State Security Services, SSS, with the help of military men have rescued three Indians who were kidnapped on the 3rd of January, 2014, while on board a cargo ship, off the coast of Equatorial Guinea. They were later brought to Bonny Channel in Rivers State, where they were held hostage for over 3 weeks before they were found and rescued on the 30th of January, 2014.

The men, Kanishik JHORAR, Mhinder Singh SAINI and Balwinder SINGH, were handed over to the Indian High Commission and the country of their employers, Equatorial Guinea Embassy respectively. No ransom was paid for their release.


However 5 members of the kidnap gang were apprehended while the leader of the group and others are still at large.
