Woman bites employee at Macy’s because price of purse was too high
A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly biting a department store employee because the price for an item she wanted to purchase was too high, police in new Jersey said.
Newark police said that they have arrested 42-year-old Anh Nguyen on Wednesday, after being accused of biting an employee at the Macy’s store located at the Newpark Mall around 8:30 p.m.
According to the police investigation, Nguyen was arguing with a store manager about the price of a purse. Nguyen received a discount on the item, but was still not happy with the price.
She started yelling and cursing at the manager. The store manager and the loss prevention officers asked her to leave the store, but she refused.
A security guard tried to escort her out of the store, but she threw herself to the ground before scratching and biting his legs.
The guard suffered minor injuries. Nguyen was arrested on charges of assault and battery, and she was booked into the Santa Rita jail.
