Ravinder Kaur, (left) 35, is on trial at Blackfriars Crown Court accused of spiking Laura Knowles' (right) hot drink with the metal used to make fillings at the Shams Moopen Dental Practice in Shefford, Bedfordshire (inset).
The court heard the alleged poisoning was motivated by 'spite and revenge'. Kaur had been disciplined by Ms Knowles for leaving a patient in the chair while she went for lunch, in the days prior to the alleged incident. The dental nurse has denied the charge against her and the trial continues.
