Woman tried to drown herself and her baby by walking into a river

A Chinese mother tried to take her own life - and the life of her one-year-old son - by throwing herself into a river. But Huang Yuan became stuck in the mud and was rescued

Chinese mother Huang Yuan tried to take both her and her son's life by attempting to drown herself in a river in the Guangdong province.
Luckily the suicide attempt failed after Mrs Yuan and her one-year-old son became stuck in the mud on the river's bank. Mrs Yuan had tried to end her life after an argument with her husband.
