2 Nigerians Kill Sibling Over Dad’s N17m House

Two brothers identified as Abdulfatai Osun and Shakiru Osun have been arrested by the police from the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos State for the gruesome murder of their elder brother, Yusuf Osun, over their father's property.

The brothers were said to have been living together at their late father's house at No 3C, Mobil Estate, Satellite Town, Lagos, before they allegedly killed Yusuf for constituting a stumbling block to their plans to sell the house.
Yusuf, 25, who opposed to the selling of the house, on the grounds that selling it would render their mother homeless was said to have refused to sign an agreement to complete its sale after the suspects had negotiated with a buyer who insisted that the three brothers sign an agreement before he makes the agreed payment of N17 million for the four-bedroom duplex with boys quarters.
LEADERSHIP gathered that all entreaties to make Yusuf change his stand on the matter failed and on one occasion, he even fought publicly with his brother.
Sources said in a bid to have their way, the suspects conspired and strangled their elder brother at night and cut him to bits with a machete to conceal the criminal act.
One of the suspects' neighbours who claimed to have witnessed the killing, later reported the matter at the police, Satellite Town Division.
A police source at the police station, who confirmed the incident, said the matter had been transferred to the SCID and that the suspects would be arraigned in court soon.
