Twitter 'Gunman' Arrested After Threats

Dakkari McAnuff allegedly threatened to shoot people if he received 100 retweets.

A man reportedly tweets a photo of a gun pointing onto his street and threatens to open fire if he receives 100 retweets.

A 20-year-old who allegedly tweeted that he would start shooting people if he received 100 retweets has been detained by police.
Dakkari McAnuff is reported to have included a photo of a gun pointing onto the street from a high-rise block in his tweet.
His next post on @stillDMC appeared to show a bloodied man lying on the street alongside the text "Man Down. Mission Accomplished".
Police received several reports and traced McAnuff's location - 9th street in downtown Los Angeles - from the photo.
The Los Angeles Police Department said: "During the investigation officers discovered multiple pictures displaying an unknown type of rifle pointing in the direction of various Los Angeles city streets with the captions '100 RTs and I'll shoot someone walking.'"
Police detained McAnuff on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of criminal threats.
An air rifle was recovered at his home and he is being held on $50,000 (£30,000) bail.
The @stillDMC account was suspended soon after the threats came to light.
However, a new account apparently set up by friends of McAnuff – called @DMCstill – claim the original tweets were a prank.
