Former tennis star Boris Becker is to have his Spanish villa confiscated and auctioned off for £6million because he owes £340,000 for building work and £20,000 in court costs and interest.
The Wimbledon champion nearly lost the nine-bedroom property in 2012 after failing to pay a £285,000 gardeners bill. In 2003 a court ruled that part of the home had been built illegally and ordered some of the room to be torn down. Becker tried to sell it seven years ago for £12.5million but failed to find a buyer.
