Manchester United Juan Mata deal ''provisionally agreed'' as £40million

Juan heck of a move: The Spain star could be set for Old Trafford

Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly agreed a provisional £40million deal for Blues playmaker Juan Mata .

The out-of-favour Spaniard has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch in recent days and a report in the Guardian claims that the two sides have settled on £40million fee for the 25-year-old , although no formal offer has yet been made by the champions.
The report claims move will also depend on Mata personally informing Jose Mourinho that he wishes to move.
Chelsea's reigning player of the year has only completed 90 minutes three times this season and with the World Cup on the horizon, the Spaniard is said to be keen to get more first-team football.
United are currently in seventh place in the Premier League, 14 points behind leaders Arsenal.
The move for Mata is expected to begin a spending spree for David Moyes , with Bayern Munich defender Dante, Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye and Borussia Monchengladbach winger Patrick Herrmann all on the former Everton boss's shopping list.
