Twitter Responds To Justine Sacco’s Racist Africa-AIDS Tweet

InterActive Corp, Sacco’s employer and owner of websites CollegeHumor.com, The Daily Beast and OkCupid, immediately released a statement to the International Business Times stating:
“This is an outrageous, offensive comment that does not reflect the views and values of IAC. Unfortunately, the employee in question is unreachable on an international flight, but this is a very serious matter and we are taking appropriate action.”
Twitter users wasted no time to respond in outrage to the hurtful tweet:

Sacco, who works as a director of communications at IAC, has spent the last few days traveling, based on her Twitter timeline. The tweet heard around the world is said to have been sent during her time in London and isn’t the first insensitive tweet by Sacco. Earlier today she tweeted that she was back in London, the home of “cucumber sandwiches” and “bad teeth.”
This story is still developing.
