A MAN has died after he was fatally stabbed in the early hours of this morning.
A second man has been seriously injured during the same incident which occurred in Shankhill, South County Dublin, at 5.30am this morning.
The incident occurred at Rathsallagh Park.
Two men, both in their late 20s, were found with serious stab injures on the road at Rathsallagh Park in the early hours of this morning.
They were rushed by ambulance to St Vincent’s Hospital.
However, one of the men was pronounced dead shortly after 8am this morning.
It is understood the victim had travelled home from Australia for Christmas.
The second man remains in a serious condition.
Gardai are investigating and the scene at Rathsallagh Park has sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardai are now appealing for witnesses that may have been in or around Rathsallagh Park this morning or can assist their investigation.
