Carly Paoli, 26, (pictured left and right, as an 11-year-old performing on stage) has shared a Hollywood stage with actress Kate Hudson and boasts American Idol coach Paula Abdul among her fans.
And next month, to seal an extraordinary year, she will perform on the stunning outdoor stage in Rome where the Three Tenors made their first appearance 25 years ago. Not bad for a lorry driver's daughter from Mansfield who still lives with her mum and dad and who, until recently, was making ends meet as a singing teacher.
