Former All Black rugby star Jerry Collins and wife killed in car crash in France and baby

Former All Black rugby star Jerry Collins (right) has been killed in a car crash (left and inset) in southern France. The 34-year-old's wife Alana Madill was also killed and their two-month-old daughter Ayla suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to hospital in Montpellier.
The New Zealand forward was travelling on the A9 motorway near Herault, France, where he plays for club side Narbonne, when his car is reported to have come to a sudden stop, possibly because of technical problems. The vehicle was then hit at full speed by a bus. Two bus passengers were injured but Collins and his wife were killed instantly. Collins was capped 48 times by the All Blacks, captaining the side on three occasions.
