An Irishman has been found dead in New Zealand.
The body of 39-year-old Finbarr Claby from Galway was discovered at Wellington harbour yesterday morning.
Mr Clabby had been living in Wellington for about seven years,
Local reports say police have confirmed there is no foul play suspected in his death and his family has been notified.
Local Sergeant Shaun Lingard told local media: "This appears to have been an unfortunate accident after Mr Clabby had been out socialising with friends on Saturday night."
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is providing consular assistance to his family.
The Welsh Dragon Bar, where Mr Clabby was a much-loved regular and member of their soccer team, paid tribute to him on their facebook page, saying: "It is with great sadness & a heavy heart to hear about the tragic passing of one of the Welsh Bar family this weekend. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go to his family.
