Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike has said he is now a Muslim. We are not sure if he made the statement to get his coach off him, but Emenike says he is now one. Emenike was asked by his coach Vitor Pereira why he didn’t show up for breakfast on Saturday when others did and Emenike replied saying “I’m fasting.”
According to Turkish daily Fanatik, the coach queried him and said he is not a Muslim. “You’re not a Muslim”, Pereira said, insisting that Emenike is a Christian. But in his response, Emenike said “I became a Muslim, I am a Muslim,” he continued to claim. We are however not sure if it is a joke or not.
