Greece faces crashing out of euro unless deal is agreed at emergency talks in Brussels

Greece makes last-ditch offer to avoid crashing out of the Euro ahead of emergency talks

Greek prime minister Alexi Tsipras has made a last-ditch offer to EU leaders to unlock billions of pounds in extra loans needed to stop the country crashing out of the Euro.
The hard-line socialist leader unveiled his final offer in a telephone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and EU Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker today. It comes ahead of emergency talks in Brussels tomorrow evening - called after Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis (pictured) failed to strike a deal to keep the country in the single currency last week. Tomorrow's diplomatic showdown is the last opportunity for Greece to come to an agreement with the 'Troika' of international lenders which is keeping the country's government afloat. Greece needs a fresh loan in order to make a £1.1billion repayment to the International Monetary Fund due on June 30.
