Muslim Youth Protest In Kano…Burn Court House Over ‘Blasphemy’ Of Prophet Muhammed

Angry youth in Kano have burnt down a sharia court in Rijiyar Lemo, scheduled to hear a case of blasphemy against the prophet of Islam, few minutes before the prophet was brought in.

The aggrieved youth then took to the streets of Kano and headed for the Emir's palace, condemning the alleged blasphemous statements made against Prophet Muhammed by the leader of a sect, Tijjaniyya, Abdul Nyass.

The sect leader was said to have made the statement recently during his routine preaching at Goron Dutse, in Kano metropolis. The protesting youth have also blocked the Kano government house carrying placards condemning the statement made by the prophet against Prophet Mohammed.
