Teen missing over 2 years found alive with a 1-year-old baby
A family was overjoyed to learn that their missing daughter was found alive.
The woman of Columbus, Ohio, who was reported missing over 2 years ago when she was 16 years old, was found alive in West Virginia.
DaJanae Harmon, now 18 years old, was found by police officers who responded to a domestic violence call in a hotel room in Welch.
Harmon, who went by a different name since leaving her parents’ home, confessed that she had been reported missing and that she wanted to go home.
Police said that Harmon had been living with 50-year-old Joseph Crawley, who impregnated her. The couple now has a one-year-old child together.
Harmon said that he had been living with Crawley in Baltimore, Maryland, but they recently traveled to West Virginia “for a better life.”
Crawley has been charged with domestic assault and possession of marijuana.
Harmon and her child will reunite with her parents, and she will return home with them.
The teen’s mother said that the last two years have been extremely difficult, and she is overjoyed that her missing daughter is alive, and that she will come home.
