Paramedics dumped man's body near bins because their shift had ended
The body of James Harrison was left on the floor of an Ely Ambulance Station (pictured) by paramedics instead of making a 22-mile journey to the mortuary at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge after an emergency call was placed at 5.13am.
An East of England Ambulance Service team arrived at the scene, but were due to finish work soon afterwards, it is understood. To save themselves working overtime, they left the body in an ambulance station for the day crew to pick up an hour later.
