House Boy Kills Boss’ 78-Year Old Mother In Lagos Nigeria

An 18-year-old man, Hounvenou Yavine, a national of Republic of Benin, who was employed as a house boy at Ijaiye Low Cost Housing Estate in Pencinema, has been arrested and charged to court for killing his boss’ 78-year old mother.

Mrs Mariam Abiola moved in with her daughter in May 2014, after her house in Ikeja was demolished.

Yavine who was brought to Lagos by his sister, got the job through her sister’s husband, who is in charge of collecting his salary.

On this faithful day, his madam had already gone to work, when Yavine walked into the old woman’s room and slit her throat.

Upon his arrest, he insisted someone asked him to kill mama. He was later arrested and arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court on one count of murder.
