Teenager got stuck trying to rescue her phone

drain

Schoolgirl Ellia-Anne Birchenough, 16, saw her attempt to rescue her mobile phone from a drain go hilariously wrong after finding herself unable to get out again (shown centre).
Miss Birchenough had dropped the phone down a drain near her home in Dover, Kent, and decided to lower herself in, feet first, to try pick it up. However, the teenager found herself unable to crawl out of the hole and her mother had to call out firemen to rescue her (left). It was a quick, if dramatic, turn of events and, within ten minutes of getting stuck, Miss Birchenough was being hoisted out (right)
