New rules limit suburban bin collections in Dublin to certain days

Tens of thousands of Dubliners will see their bin collection days changed as new rules come into force.

A new system sets out when private waste companies can send trucks out to collect rubbish in six different districts.
They can operate seven days in the city centre, but other parts will be restricted to different weekdays.
The aim of the move is to reduce disruption from competing companies.
