A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a number of people were injured after a crush outside a Dublin nightclub after midnight.
The incident happened outside Copper Face Jack on Harcourt St in the south city centre.
Security sources have said that seven people were injured, four of whom were taken to hospital by ambulance.
A young woman was among them and is said to be in a serious condition in St James Hospital.
She is believed to be 18, and is being treated in St James' Hospital.
Two ambulances were called to the scene which took place between Camden Place and Harcourt St while Gardai had to close off the road during the incident. Luas services were also suspended.
It's not known what caused the crush or the extent of the injuries suffered.
It's believed up to 1,500 people were in the area at the time.
The owner of the club, Cathal Jackson, said that it was the first time the club had run an over-18s night on a Monday. Usually it's over-21s.
Mr Jackson also said that he heard the young woman was now okay and speaking.
He added that staff had to open a side door to relieve the crush that was happening outside, while security staff also moved to help people who had fallen to the ground.
Copper Face Jacks had promoted the night on their Facebook page as Messy Mondays, with promotions of three Jagerbomb drinks for €10.
However, the owner said that they are considering not holding over-18s nights again.
