Billionaire who says being rich is sheer hell
Persson (pictured, right) once flew all his staff to Monte Carlo in private jets. His greatest indulgence is his home (top left) - the most expensive property ever listed in Beverly Hills. But he bemoans his riches.
The Swede pocketed £1.2bn when he sold Minecraft (bottom left) to Microsoft. But despite being happy to splash the cash, he isn't happy. His marriage lasted only a year and he now pays £4,000-a-month child support for his daughter. It is more than a little ironic to learn that the billionaire computer programmer who created the Minecraft world has found himself trapped in one every bit as isolated and purposeless as the digital one he invented.
