A woman is in hospital this evening following a fire in Dublin's city centre.

The alarm was raised at approximately 3pm in a flat above a post office in Kevin Street, Dublin 8.
Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade rushed to the scene and rescued a woman, who is in her 70s, from the apartment's balcony.
She was transported to the nearby St James's Hospital and is understood to be undergoing treatment for smoke inhalation. Dublin Fire Brigade reported, via their Twitter account, that a second person was also brought to hospital.
Units from Dolphin's Barn and Donnybrook and two ambulances attended the scene which saw two rooms engulfed by the blaze.
The fire was extinguished by 5pm.
It is not known what caused the fire.
