The Serbian prime minister was attacked today as he attended a service to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Srebenica massacre.
Aleksandar Vucic, once an ultra-nationalist, was forced to flee after he was targeted by an angry Bosnian mob who pelted him with stones, shoes and bottles as he arrived at a cemetery in the town in eastern Bosnia. One rock is understood to have struck the leader on the face, breaking his glasses. Some 8,000 Muslim men and boys from the town were slaughtered at the hands of Bosnian Serb forces - backed by Serbia - amid the break up of Yugoslavia in the 1990s.
