14 year old Christopher Duran (pictured) was fatally shot outside his apartment building while on his way to school with his younger brother. This shooting took place in the Bronx, New York and police are searching for the gunman.
Duran was targeted after a verbal argument with two people and shot 3 times in the stomach and once in the head around 8.30am, just steps away from his Mom's apartment building.
When the gunfire stopped, Duran's brother ran into the apartment building and told his mother what had happened. Authorities arrived and Duran was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Oh my God, oh my God, my son!" Duran’s mother cried out as she raced to the crime scene.

Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce confirmed the existence of the surveillance video and agreed “it’s pretty gruesome.”
The hoodie-clad gunman may have been trying to “disguise what he looks like” with the bandana, he added. "We look at that as a very distinctive piece of clothing," said Boyce. "You can see him walking off to the other side.”
Investigators suspect Duran’s killer may have been exacting revenge for something his 18-year-old brother a reputed member of the Bronx-based “280” gang did, sources said.
“He’s a pretty boy,” his uncle, Jose Mendoza, said. “He never do nothing. He never hangs out with gangs, nothing like that."
Breaking down in tears, Mendoza, 29, said “it breaks my heart. The only thing I want to know, who did it, and why he did it."
“His mom is going crazy,” said Duran’s cousin, Stephanie Guzman, 25. “There's no words for how they feel.”

Authorities say Duran was a gang member and suspect that the dispute was gang related, he reportedly had several prior arrests as a juvenile .
On March 14, 2012, he posted a photo of a Smith and Wesson pistol on his Facebook page. And on Dec. 27 of that same year, he posted photos of himself flashing what appeared to be gang signs.
