Former Chelsea defender David Luiz (pictured left in 2014) has revealed he is a virgin and plans to abstain from sex until he marries his girlfriend Sara Madeira (together right at a London basketball game in 2011).
The 28-year-old made the announcement alongside a photograph he posted on Instagram showing himself being bapitised in his teammate Maxwell's swimming pool. He has often spoken of his Christian faith, and in declaring that he had 'chosen to wait', captioned the photo with a bible verse.
