Teju Babyface's wife mugged on Eko Bridge, her car windows smashed


Comedian, Talk Show host and TV producer Teju Babyface's wife, Tobi Oyelakin, was on her way to the mainland at about 8pm last night when her car was attacked by hoodlums on Eko Bridge. She was in the car with her driver and 3 other girls in the back seat and were approaching the National Theater area of the Eko bridge when they encountered some traffic.

Bursaspor Terminates Taiye Taiwo’s Contract


Bursaspor, a Turkish Super Lig club has announced on its official website that it has mutually terminated the agreement with Nigeria international player, Taye Taiwo.

Taye Taiwo joined the Green Crocodiles on a 3- year deal in the summer of 2013 after he was transferred from AC Milan. He will no longer be playing for the club.

The Nigerian military has moved the 293 females they rescued two days ago from Sambisa Forest to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital where they are to undergo series of test including HIV and pregnancy test.

Baby Sold For N150k By Mother & Doctor Rescued By Police

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered a baby boy, David Johnny, who was stolen by a doctor with the connivance of his mother, Esther Johnny, and sold to a woman in Abuja.

It was learnt that the mother initially denied knowledge of the crime as the police intensified efforts to unravel the whereabouts of the baby.

Chibok Girls NOT Among 293 Girls, Women Rescued




After the defence headquarters yesterday said Nigerian troops yesterday rescued over 200 girls and 93 women from Sambisa forest, a lot of Nigerians had high hopes that after screening and profiling the girls, some of them will turn out to be part of the Chibok girls who have been missing since last year April. However, the spokesperson for the army, Sani Usman, a colonel, has told Reuters news agency the rescued girls were not, from Chibok. They are not the Chibok girls, he said.

Court dissolves 3yr old marriage over wife’s lack of vagina opening


An Abeokuta Customary Court sitting in Ake on Wednesday April 29th dissolved a three-year-old marriage between Mr Femi Olayiwole and wife, Kemi, due to the absence of vagina, deceit and frequent fighting. Olayiwole told the court that his wife deceived him to marry her knowing that she could not bear him a child. He accused his wife, who had failed to appear in court after being summoned several times, of living a false life, frequent fighting and threatening his life.

Togo's President wins 3rd term


 Togo's President Faure Gnassingbe, has been re-elected for a third term. Togo's electoral officials say Gnassingbe got 59% of the vote while his main opponent Jean-Pierre Fabre, took 35% of the vote. His family has been in power for 48 years.

Gnassingbe has ruled since the death of his father, Gnassingbe Eyadema, who took power in a coup in 1967.

Nigerian man arraigned in UK court for stealing mobile phones


A 27 year old Nigerian man, Oloruntoba Adisa who worked as a bouncer in clubs in the UK has been arraigned before a UK court for stealing phones from clients who came to the club where he worked.

According to Manchester Evening News, Oloruntoba has a history with the UK law enforcement officers with crimes bordering on stealing phones and money from some club goers.
