It was surprising, when at a woman's funeral in Mexico, stray dogs unexpectedly showed up to pay their respects to the woman who used to feed them.
The deceased woman, Margarita Suarez from Yucatan, Mexico who passed away earlier this month, was well known for her kindness in feeding the stray dogs and cats that would show up at her home.She was also known for taking a bag of food along with her when she went out so she could treat other stray animals she sees on her way.
At her funeral, family members were stunned when different unknown dogs suddenly appeared at the funeral parlor where Margarita's body was being kept.
Margarita's family members and workers at the funeral home said they had never seen them before but on realizing that the animals had come to pay their respects to Margarita, the dogs were allowed to come in and they laid peacefully on the floor near the woman's coffin.According to Margarita's daughter, Patricia Urrutia,
"The dogs even formed a procession behind her hearse on the day of the funeral. They only left when Margarita's body was being prepared for cremation," she said.
