Benjamin Miller, from Georgia, was hurt at Ciudad Rodrigo's Carnaval del Toro yesterday.
The Georgia native was gored and tossed by a large fighting bull at the annual festival and then underwent a three-hour operation to repair his thighs, sphincter and back muscles. Miller is recovering in the intensive-care unit of a hospital in Salamanca. Two other men were hurt during the festivities.
