Couple pours beer down 1-year-old boy’s throat and slaps him for throwing up

A 1-year-old boy was forced to consume alcohol and was slapped when he vomited.
The mother and her boyfriend of Louisiana, were arrested after the man had forced the beer down the throat of the 1-year-old child and the mother hit the boy because he vomited.


Krysten Verdin, 23, and Brett Flower, 24, were charged with cruelty to a child after partygoers reported them to the Department of Children's Services, the Slidell Police Department said.

Witnesses at the family gathering told authorities that on more than one occasion, the boyfriend poured beer down the child's throat.

The boy then gagged and vomited, witnesses said. The mother became agitated with her son and slapped him in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the floor. 

According to Detective Daniel Seuzeneau, Flower admitted to forcing the boy to consume beer, but he “thought it would be funny.”
